City University celebrates Golden jubilee with programming contest
Total 125 students of 30 public and private universities of the country celebrated the golden jubilee of independence Of Bangladesh by solving problems in C, C ++ and Java programming.
The competition was organized by the Computer Science and Engineering Department of City University and lasted for 5 hours on Friday afternoon. Apart from the university, students who have passed HSC and equivalent examinations also participated in the competition.
The competition, held on the Virtual Jazz (vjudge.net) platform, was conducted by Md. Safayet Hossain, Chief Engineer, CSE Department, City University.
Hasib, Nahid, Mahmud, Al-Mujahid and Shakib Hossain won the first, second, third, fourth and fifth places respectively. Out of the total 12 programming problems, the first prize winner solved 10 programming problems, the second and third prize winners solved 4 programming problems and by solving 2 programming problems the fourth and fifth places were determined.
They solved problems by using the computer network with dynamic programming, greedy methods, ad hoc programs, number theory, combination mathematics, cryptography, single-source shortest path and minimum spanning tree.
